Flamenco Dance & Gypsy Gym Classes
About the classes
Adults flamenco classes last 1 hour. The sessions are divided into three parts. The first 20 minutes is covering the body technique (alignment and correct posture, movement of arms, hands), and rhythm with footwork. The next 20 minutes is working on a dance choreography accompanied by a flamenco singing, in order to fully understand the relationship between the dancing and the singing . The classes normally finish with a brief footwork drill.
Flamenco classes for children last 45 and 60 minutes. There are two age groups: 'Tiny Tots' and 'Kids' (pre-school and school age kids). Children are taught elementary Spanish dance vocabulary and basic dance techniques. Dance routines are adapted to improve children's motor coordination and promote balance .
Gypsy Gym flamenco fitness classes last 1 hour and typically
incorporate warm up, stretching, relaxation techniques and dance workout. The goal of classes is to improve overall fitness level, help with posture correction, provide stress relief , promote weight loss and tone your muscles. Suitable for all fitness levels.
Children's flamenco classes are held both at the Tighes Hill and in Adamstown. Please contact us for Adamstown locations.
Gypsy Gym sessions are held at the Newcastle Flamenco Dance Studio at 15 Elizabeth Street, Tighes Hill 2297 NSW.
